Year 10 GCSE Geography students embarked on an absolutely unforgettable field adventure travelling to the River Chess in Buckinghamshire in November. Students immersed themselves in a thrilling hands-on fieldwork investigation. Equipped with measuring tools and boundless curiosity, they charted how river features transform from source to mouth—tracking changes in width, depth, and flow velocity. This enhanced student learning in the classroom and allowed them to see Geography in action! By working as a team, collecting real-world data, and troubleshooting on the spot, our students sharpened their skills in problem‑solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. They witnessed firsthand the powerful forces at play in shaping landscapes, making their learning experience truly come alive.
